MREplus^TM Meter Reading Entry Plus software is designed specifically for the Psion Workabout MX Hand Held Meter Reading Device as a “No-Nonsense,” easy to use application to get your meter readings from your customer meters to your utility billing software.

Ease-of-Use
MREplus^TM was developed from the ground up with Ease-of-Use as top priority. From Loading or Unloading the reading data to entering the readings while in the field, MREplus^TM streamlines the procedures for accomplishing these tasks without complicating your job.

Ease-of-Interface
If you are currently using Utility Data Systems, Inc. UMS UBSplus® as your utility billing software, MREplus^TM interfaces directly, without the need of “go-between” software. You select the accounts you wish to have read and click “Begin Output.” Its that simple!

If you are using billing software from another software provider, MREplus^TM interfaces with RTSplus^TM Route Transfer Software. RTSplus^TM (sold separately) can transfer reading files to and from virtually any billing software that has the capability to import/export reading data.

Touch Read Capability
MREplus^TM also interfaces with a Universal Scanner Probe designed to automatically read meters with Touch Read technology from a variety of Meter Manufacturers. If your utility has meters installed from two or more manufacturers, the Universal Scanner Probe is capable of automatically detecting the manufacturer type and retrieve the reading. Universality also means you are not “married” to one meter manufacturer.

MREplus^TM Features:

Intuitive, easy-to-understand menus.
Extended comment allows free form comments to be entered.
Statistics Screen displays the number of accounts that have been read and unread along with the total number of accounts, date/time, and reader id.
Takes advantage of “Touch Read” technology by allowing you to connect a scanner probe to the Psion.
Search for Accounts by Last Name, Service Address, Meter Number, and Unread Meters.
The “Found Meter” feature allows the meter reader to enter information about meters “found” on a particular route that were previously not known about.
Audible and visual High/Low Reading Warnings.
Previous Reading Displayed.
Each customer’s account is displayed automatically.
Uses rechargeable Ni/Cd batteries for main power and a lithium battery for backup power.
